Again, it's been a little while since the last post.

Insomnia

After a long silence and promised to update my blog frequently, Im back. Guess that I failed to keep my word for updating blog.

So many things running through my head right now. The melancholy part of me keeps me awake like a free caffeine particles running in my brain cells. I guess my sanguine and choleric side of me is snoring soundly. It's the second night in the week I have insomnia, thinking about all the wedding preparations.

First, happens when Tim and I were talking about the wedding budget and the band. Secondly, tonight, after a conversation with Nick through MSN. The creative juice valve has just been opened at the wrong timing. I'll try not to have too much coffee during the day. Nowadays, I can easily go up to 5 cups of coffee per day. Since I started my training in SESCO, all we do is eat and sit, eat and sit. We have 2 tea breaks per day.

I really really thank God for having so many people helping out and giving good offers for the wedding. This should put me to ease and not to worry so much. Yes, I dont worry. But I think too much. Not of the "what ifs" but more of "I wanna do this, I wanna do that". I realised that I tend to overdo things. It's actually the sanguine weakness. We like to overdo stuffs. I guess my 'sanguinity' is not asleep at all. It's the combination of the weak sanguine and strong melancholy that's gonna cause me having panda eyes tomorrow.

Finally, Good News for Coffee Drinker

WASHINGTON - Researchers in the United States have found another good reason to go to the local espresso bar: several cups of coffee a day could halt the progression of liver disease, a study showed Wednesday.

Sufferers of chronic hepatitis C and advanced liver disease who drank three or more cups of coffee per day slashed their risk of the disease progressing by 53 percent compared to patients who drank no coffee, the study led by Neal Freedman of the US National Cancer Institute (NCI) showed.

For the study, 766 participants enrolled in the Hepatitis C Antiviral Long-Term Treatment against Cirrhosis (HALT-C) trial -- all of whom had hepatitis C which had not responded to treatment with anti-viral drugs -- were asked to report how many cups of coffee they drank every day.

The patients were seen every three months during the 3.8-year study and liver biopsies were taken at 1.5 and 3.5 five years to determine the progression of liver disease.

"We observed an inverse association between coffee intake and liver disease progression," meaning patients who drank three or more cups of java were less likely to see their liver disease worsen than non-drinkers, wrote the authors of the study, which will be published in the November issue of Hepatology.

The researchers put forward several ways in which coffee intake might protect against liver disease, including by reducing the risk of type two diabetes, which has been associated with liver illness; or by reducing inflammation, which is thought to cause fibrosis and cirrhosis of the liver.

Even caffeine, the chemical that gives a cup of coffee its oomph, came under the spotlight, having been found in previous studies to inhibit liver cancer in rats.

But drinking black or green tea, which also contain caffeine, had little impact on the progression of liver disease, although there were few tea drinkers in the study.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), three to four million people contract hepatitis C each year.

Seventy percent of cases become chronic and can cause cirrhosis or liver cancer.

Therefore, I wont feel bad about being a vivid coffee drinker. Haha!

Got to know this through Ian's page. They have nice wedding gown packages... So, ya, according to the planner, I should starting hunting for gowns now.. hehehhehee

I guess, for the time being, I'll be posting a lot on wedding preparation. A well known fact, weddings are expensive. So, if you notice there's Adsense from Google on the sidebar, that is one of our avenue to have extra in our pockets on the weddings. It doesn't pays much unless there's a lot clicks on our URL. I think since yesterday, with one post, we have 3 clicks and we earn USD$0.50. You will be doing a big favor just by clicking on my URL everyday! =)

I've started exercising. So, instead of buying weights, im lifting 1.5 litres of water (in which I think is equivalent to 1.5kg) while doing squats. Im basically wanting to get rid of my flabby arms and thighs. And also to loose a few kgs as well... perhaps 5-6kgs with 3-4 more months to go. I wanna look good during the photoshoots too. Dont, I?

I couldn't ask for better MOH than her that I ever know (since I only have one MOH). Im so touched! This is what she did for me over her Raya holiday for me.

I miss school life...

Well, not really. There are pros and cons as usual. But i found this very interesting. A uni in India actually have their lectures online! Not just PDF files lecture, but the real lecture. I find it cool. Curtin or any other school should implement stuffs like this.

I know it's boring and it's about 1 hour long lecture and honestly I didnt watch it till the end. I'm into designing PLC's lately (that's what my boss ask me to do) so kinda have been googling and youtubing and I found this video. They actually have series of lectures. No kidding! This is like free education. Seriously. Inspite of the accent, I think the lectures should be informative (I've not watched it, that's why I say should (; ).

Kampung Bawang - The Reading Bus Project

I slept the whole afternoon today and had one of the weird dream again. I get weird dream when I am tired. Anyway, this weekend, as I was mentioning, I had a trip with the guys to Kampung Bawang. It was fun and the kids are so the very cute!! hehe...

We had Sticker Book with them, going through the book, Greatest Story Ever Told with them, and also the Reading Competition using the Ladybird reading book series. Some of them are really good. At night, we had the Village Alpha.

My double clumsiness happened within 3 hours. Believe it or not it's true.

And so, I was on my way to airport. Sweet Delia drove me there. Since, I checked in online, so I just go into the departure hall. I passed the security check and I waited for my departure to Bintulu for my cousin's wedding. Clock strikes and it's time to move. And the first "oo-oo" moment happen. I think I left my purse at home. So, I might not pass AirAsia boarding check. I kinda tell the sweet lady that I forgot my IC. She let me go.

And so, I went in happily and thank God she let me in. Sat at the seat number allocated, waiting for the plane to fly, and then I heard, "Amy Chieng, can you identify yourself" At first, I thought it was my identification problem. Then, the second "oo-oo" moment happen. I booked the wrong date. It's suppose to be 8th Aug instead of 7th Aug. So, I tried to beg to ask them to let me go, but I dont think I can since I had been let go the first time.

And thus, I called Delia back and ask her to send me home, but she's busy. But, she's been so sweet, trying to get people to pick me. I called James, he's bz. And my phone has low battery. Imagine u are in the airport, stranded with low battery handphone and no money, no ATM card, whatsoever. I have to call my uncle to tell him that I might miss the wedding, I have to call my parents that there might be a change of plan... this and that....really tensed.

I finally got Yih Siew to send me, though she's bz with her dad. I got home, look for my purse, third "oo-oo" occured. It's not home. I could have left it in the office. So, I went back to my 20km-away office with my colleague to open the door. Thank God it's there. Time passed and it's already 9 something. I head back for another 20km.

I called Yih Siew whether she finished her dinner with her dad, and she say yes and she can pick me to bus station. Time: 9:55.It's 5 minutes before the 10 o'clock bus left. Called my parents that I'll use the bus and meet them and I'll travel with them to Bintulu. Reach home at 3 am. leave Bintulu at 3:45 and reach there at 7:30. Just in time for my cousin's wedding ceromony at 10am. I never knew I loved my cousin so much until this happens.

a very long tensed night

Doesn't take away the peace and joy I have from God. One thing that surprises me, throughout the night, I knew that I can make it on time. And worries at all like how I use to react. Normally I will cry first then think of what to do next. Im just laughing at myself for having such night. and one big lesson learnt, dont be too over confident that things like this wont happen. Always check everything before you book your flight and always check that your purse is with you at all time.

Kuching So Far

It's been a week since I started working. And guess what, I do enjoy working. Lot's of things to learn also. It's my first time to program an inverter. Interesting. My boss asked me to program 15 inverters. How fun is that? It's the same setting. Can say I quite pro d. hahaha.... But of course I still missed studying. Which one I like better? Hmm... I really don't know.

I guess it's true when people say, it's easier to make friends when you are younger. I joined this cell group, invited by my church friend, and all of them were working adults. Hmm, none talked to me except for the new comer who is setting next to me. I dun see them talking to her as well. Probably they are a bit shy.

Here in Kuching I joined Bethany Youth. Great bunch of people. Went for lunch after church then movies. Though didnt get to talk much, but they are hospitable.

Looking back at the pass 2 months after Doulos, I kinda asked myself, why am I so frustrated not having job? Knowing that I have God that cares much about me. I shouldn't be restless. Now, I felt so blessed for the arrangement He made for me. Today, Ps. Cheli was speaking about obeying God's word and it reminds me of the hymn...

At times, I do find myself so hard to just obey when the prompting comes. Easy to say hard to do. It is true that God do not judge us through our action because of the grace He has given us and we don't have to feel guilty of the things we did or didnt do. But isn't obeying the truth is also an act of worship and faith without action is nothing? And also, our own effort cannot made us worthy to God no matter how good we are. Doesn't doing an action requires effort from us? Hmm... what am I trying to get here? Quoting anak Wong, Hard to Define.....

Post-Doulos Post

Hope you guys enjoy the video as much as we did. Anyway, it's been almost 2 months Im back here in Malaysia since Doulos. In fact, Im starting work exactly 2 months after my first step on Borneo Island which is on the 18th May (was back 18th March). Talking about Island, I've been catching up with "Lost" the series. I need season 5.....

2 months on board gave be such tremendous blessings. I've learned much. One of the greatest is, instead of being a great Casanova for God, we need to humble ourselves down and do practical things. Who says doing housework is not your mission field? and Who says cooking for your family's meal is not? It's all important. It just did a great switch of mindset about what mission is REALLY about. Though, yea, my inner sin still cant get rid of the thought "Im cleaning the floor on board, I dont feel deserved to be called a missionary"

The term "missionary", hmm, I guess it's a man-made term to label those who left their country and serve God elsewhere. "Mission work", sometimes it's there and you dont even realize it. It consists of many. Another sad thing is about the status quo where people still gives more respect to those who speaks in the frontline and gives them special treatment than the rest. And again, it's because we are just mere human.

Now, Im missing everything that ever happen and looking forward to what God has in store for me in the future. For He is good and His mercy and grace endures forever. Im just thanking God for being The Greatest Dad of all.

Family Trip

This time the Chiengs travel to 3 major places in the peninsular, Singapore, Penang and lastly KL.

Singapore
-Arcade hunting in Hau Kang and Bugis Junction. I had a blast playing at the arcade. They have the new guitar machine thing, drum machine, turning table machine which is super cool. And of course my favourite, the DDR machine (seems im more incline to the musical machine.. ^^). Too bad photos are not allowed to be taken in this area.
-Visit Kuku
-Stayed at YWCA 2 nights and another 2 nights at Uncle Wen Bin's.
-Visited National Museum of Singapore with free entrance (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.. too bad no picture allowed). Normally it is charge per entry per area of Museum. One day visit to the museum not enough because it is so melancholic-ly designed. You'll fall in love with the musuem like how i did.

Penang
Penang was ok la. I get to go to Edric's mom's stall and taste her Hokkien Mee. Spicy but I like. I went on parasailing too. Fu yoo!! I love it. Wanna do it again.
Got on cable car to Penang Hill.
Rented a car and drove all the way to mainland but diverted on the highway to KL but manage to turn back and got lost in Georgetown.
Hiked hill in Youth Park.
Stayed in Bayview Hotel, Georgetown.
Walked for Bayview Hotel to Gurney Drive. Can you imagine?

Kuala Lumpur
-Nothing new cause I've been to these places. However, in KL, it's my first time stepping to Damansara area where The Curve, IKEA and TESCO is. I like the area.

-Oh ya, went to Wesley Methodist Church in KL with Reuben and met his group of friends. After New Year/midnight service, went to McD in chi chiong kai for supper. Next day tired...

-Shopping at Sungei Wang is rather stressful cause of people crowding for New Year shopping. Dah la the siling is so low. Went back early

-Reuben met us at KL Sentral and then dinner at Jassals
-Stayed in Le Meridian. Super cool Hotel...

Im back home for almost 2 weeks now. Few days time, Im going off again. My last farewell was nice. The youths gave me a very sweet photo album with their writings on it. Very touch. How sweeet!! and also dinner with Kai Ye's family and Uncle John's family. Will miss Miri. Will I be back? hmmm.....

Well well... Job hunting is rather slow for now. Im not really worried of being unemployed. Just dunno why. God will provide. Probably because I just wanna take a rest and cause I am going to DOULOS!!! Remember previous posts I mention about Doulos? It's now 90% coming true. Yay!

Do pray for me, ya? In the midst of this excitement, I should be preparing myself spiritually and mentally as well as physically. I am now... Honestly I cant believe that Im going. seems so surreal. Basically that's what I felt lately, it's not bad I guess. I thank God for this experiences. There are a lot of things to prepare for this trip.

It's the end of my studies. Finally, im out of the education system in Curtin (probably till I get my result). I thank God that manage to pull through my studies. My social life has been expanding ever since and I guess my sanguine side births out as I grew. I used to have fear or even prejudice towards certain people (i wont mention it here), but now..... hmm... i guess i can just talk to anyone as long as he/she is talking back to me with more than one sentence.

First, my classmates decided to just have buffet dinner at Imperial Hotel. The food was SUPERB! highly recommended.

Miri: Two guys were suspected to be illegal immigrants and Inspector Reuben stand proudly in front of the camera as the photographer taking the picture. They were caught red handed by the police while partying their way to Bintang Shopping Center around 9 pm last night. They are now sent to Curtin Refugee Camp near the lakeside while battling with the giant mosquitos. It is reported that they willingly to be arrested as one of them put his hands the inspector's shoulders and followed by his partner without any hessitation.

Productive DAY

I'll try to make this a habit. wake up early, sleep early. I like what I gone through today. Firstly, wake-up call from my Nobita. Then, go to airport with Kenin and met one cool pastor guy, Pastor Jonathan. Had breakfast.

Then I go to fix my car brake. My first impression of car brake or brake pad, is actually like the bicycle brake pad. You know, made of rubber. But no.........it's made of metal. manage to stay and observe Susan's dad fixing the brake pad. Kinda interesting. I don't mind take stay in the garage n see what they do. so cool....

Then, home. Did some work, practice for VCF worship lead, VCF celebration, supper at Halo Cafe.

Now, blogging. Tired. It's a productive day indeed!

But, spend another RM100 to fix the tyre....dont dare to tell parents yet. Been spending like mad on fixing the car. But honestly, quite cool also manage to learn a few stuff. Ignorance is expensive k? At least get to know about the car and spend on "consultation fee" and fixing the car brakes.

VCF 4th Retreat Camp

Remember my previous post? About the camp posters. Well, it has come to pass and we the committee also had our post-mortem. It was a good camp. :D. Personally, I learn a lot and got a lot of nudging by Ps. Ong on being filled with the knowledge of God and claiming God's Promises.

Do check them out, especially if you wanna have venue selection for camp sites. :D. Methodist Centennial Park rockss!! Hmm.. apparently VCF has more males than females. Odd phenomena, usually it's the other way round and that's why I took more guy shots. I know it's a rough shot and rough touch cuz i zoomed from far during the shot. Any tips to smooth it out?

Lately, I have been procastinating a lot. As always. Even to post something up, took me 2-posts of Anderson's blog to do it. My final year project... erkk.... still hanging and Mr. Terence was kinda "nudging" me to produce a good project. I guess for me personally I need the nudge to do work. Nudge from the right person. And i think it is scary if I got nudge from God normally He'll let unexpected thing to happen then baru i sedar. so, scary. So, I need God to provide the right people to nudge me to do work. Hehehe.... lots of things due this month. I wish self-nudging is effective enough for me.

Presenting Christ

I have been encountering this issue quite frequently within this week. First of all, was the gospel sharing in VCF. I just couldn't explain why i feel the chill n scared of doing it. I just felt nervous. But the thing is, I've done this before and why is it something 'scary' for me to do? I guess it's the unexpected situation that you gonna face. And that particular morning, I was reading 1 Thessalonian 1. Somehow it speaks so loudly to my ear before I push myself to go for it.

1 Thessalonians 1
4For we know, brothers loved by God, that he has chosen you,
5because our gospel came to you not simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake.
6You became imitators of us and of the Lord; in spite of severe suffering, you welcomed the message with the joy given by the Holy Spirit.
7And so you became a model to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia.
8The Lord's message rang out from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia—your faith in God has become known everywhere. Therefore we do not need to say anything about it,
9for they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, 10and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead—Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.

And so I did. Soon Kong reminded us of that it is not us who saves but is the work of the Holy Spirit, and we are just the vessels. Just do it. hehe... easier said than done. Well, it wasn't that scary at all actually, we went by pairs and we approach them by asking them to do a survey with us. Manage to share with a few. And today, I manage to talked about Christ with one of my coursemate. The conversation comes naturally. It was quite interesting how we got into that.

I was sending my car for check and her dad was the mechanic, so we decide to walk to Ng Sian Hap while waiting for her dad to observe my car engine and we were chatting. Then, we walk to the aisle where they sell all these joysticks, paper money and thus our conversation falls on religious issues. So, I was explaining things about Christianity and she told me what she knows about Buddhism and she's a free thinker by the way.

I understand the fact that is only us who share but Holy Spirit is the One that convicts them. She was telling me about her experience in Perth where she joined the cell group and attend meetings and she felt different from the way we practice here. Her cousin also shared Christ with her before. She asked me a lot of question about Christianity and I explain to her lor...At the end of the day, her still thinks that being a free thinker is the best cause you don't need to worry so much about so many things and believes that every religion has its own good will.

How do we distinguish Christ from others? The other religion was also offering about almost the same thing. But one thing lacking, their wrong doings was not being paid. For us Christians, Christ died and paid for our transgression, and we truly repent and receive Him as our Saviour, thus, we are pardoned. For them, as long as you truly repent, you will be forgiven.

How do we put Christ in the centre of good works? Ya, good works does not cover our wrong doing. For them, as long as you don't do the 5 major sins (lust, greed, murder......what else ah? Im not sure) you have the higher chances to go heaven. And they do believe in judgement as well.

How do we tell the ULTIMATE truth about Christ without offending them? It's a dilemma where by you might lose the chances of sharing them about Christ again was you offended them with the truth. When I say truth, means if-you-dont-believe-in-Jesus-you-will-end-up-in-hell kinda truth. But isn't that's one of the thing that should be spoken out? My friend has bad experience with Christians telling their family they are foolish for worshiping idols.

How do we present Christ? We have the best solution yet there are other ways. Quoting Celine, good genuine stuffs has it imitation. Im not trying to present as if like as a marketing strategy but is it this what we are doing? We try so much to "attract" people to come before Christ namely concert, fun stuffs, music, activity, but at the end, are they truly convinced?

My conclusion is that, remember always that we are the vessel and let God do His work. Presenting Him as the Only Way is hard, presenting Him as a loving God might be easier, how will you present Him?

Moments of Treasure

Honestly I still can't accepting the fact that it's my final semester here. Ya, I've been eager to finish my study and looking for a new job and move on to the next level of life, adulthood. Five years back, it used to be my "out of comfort" zone. Right now, it's my comfort zone. The unfamiliar becoming the familiar.

Just celebrated Jacqueline's birthday. Back in my head, im just enjoying moments spend with my friends. Do feel like wanna cry oso. Man, this is just the beginning of the semester. Towards the end I'll be like crying a river in my heart. **sniff** We went for movies, X-Files and then coffee bean. Sung happy birthday in the public.

I've been so blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful friends. To name a few close ones, Celine, Oja, Cheryl, Joshua, Reuben and etc. Im definitely gonna miss them. At times, I keep on reminding myself that in the future even though we might be far apart, but we are still one in God. It's just so bitter happy remembering all the good and bad times together. How many more weeks encounting?

I guess one of the things that these guys gonna remember me about is i kept on baptizing my phone every year when we go Alice's Farm. I guess if VCF were to organize outing to Alice's Farm again, they'll definitely go "Remember, when Amy.........."

God, what holds for me in the future? Only You know. Im anxiously and excitedly waiting for it. Bigger things has yet to come. I deeply believe that God put people in our lives to mold our character, our thinking, and our perception towards things in life. Through this five years, I guess I have grown.

Oh ya, talking about "the best has yet to come". Last week, when I came back, I was telling Uncle John that Im interested to join OM but somehow I couldn't keep in touch with the person I coresponded with. The next day, he gave me a call saying that there's a bunch of people from OM is in the church and why not come over and talk to them. My mind says why not? I get their contacts and expressed my interest in joining the ministry next year. Prayerfully, I can get a place by January for S.T.E.P program. It's a 3 months exposure program staying, living and working in the ship. It's a voluntary work in a sense. You don't get paid to work but you have to pay to work. That's the big mind set that people couldn't break.

Normally when people were to ask, what is your plan after your studies, are you gonna work? I seriously do not know how to answer them. Cause back in my head they will wonder what on earth am I doing. I guess I need to be bold enough and step up to say that i wanna join a mission organization, working on the ship. It has been my passion and desire since I was 8. Im not letting this oppoturnity go if I manage to get a place.

Honestly, I do not know what to expect if I get on board. I mean of course I expect to meet new people from various places, staying with them, might have cultural shock. Somehow I have the feeling that I might be staying for more than 3 months. Perhaps a year, 2 years, or maybe a full time worker. I do not know but Im praying about it. Then, I start struggle again. Engineer oh, good pay worr, don't I wanna enjoy luxurious life? Have my own place, car. And if wanna join mission can self support oso ma. If SESCO call back how? I dont wanna look like Im ungrateful to them because they have been supporting my studies financially. My other scholar-mate encourage that I should join SESCO.

Guess that Im about to move to the uncomfortable zone again soon and I believe that Im in Good Hands. :)

Finally It's Done

After 2 years of keeping the book from Celine I finally have the time to finish it. Thanks for the bad server over the weekend. I spend my time reading instead. hehe..... It's not that I read slow, but sometimes I just couldn't find time to read. It was my best companion during my travel time especially in the boarding hall and in the plane when Im alone and of course when there's nothing else that interest me besides reading.

I just love the way Strobel describes things. Not only he presented the facts but also describing his anticipation listening to the answers given by his interviewees. This is the book that makes me smile, smirk, and going 'hmm.....' while reading it. One of the testimonies in the book, Charles Templeton, a Christian became an atheist, gives the reasoning why he don't believe the existence of God but he confesses that he still misses Jesus. That really blew my mind away. What attracts me the most is the very ironically, oxymoron-ed phrases that Strobel portrays. One of them were "Doubted Faith". hehe... it's just super nice!

It's a good book. Grab it!

Now Im on my way reading Yancey's book, the Jesus I never Knew. At least I bought this book my own but still, introduced by Celine. hehe... Probably after that, I wanna pursue the Case for Christ.

Traveling in that hot moving box with attached wheels for 9 hours made restless me and uncomfortable. Imagine sitting in the bus without the air-con. Sweat! This is literally sweat, not the three doted lines comic-sweat. Overhearing one of the passenger said "Nadai celap air-con nya' ". Yes indeed! In English it means the air-con is not cold. According to the bus driver the air-con gas was leaking and that is why. Can't believe I survived in that ride.

I prayed for rain. It did. But only after 8 hours of ride but only for 10 minutes. Hmm... didn't pray specific enough. I was the only passenger dropped at the terminal bus. I blame myself for not checking which bus company I was buying from. At first I thought it was Freesia, but I only found out this morning that it was Borneo Bus. Bad bad bad choice. The seat were sticky and has the diesel smell from the air-con. It's just hot air with diesel smell. At this point Im so glad that my smelly pillow smells better and it's my comforter throughout the journey. Plus there's this annoying sound where some of the screws got loose and it keeps on flickering in less than 15Hz and not to forget 9 hours sun exposure. The skin, the nose and the ear are blaming the head for not making a good choice.

To kill the time, I read Yancey's book for 2 chapter but the road got bumpy and I stopped. I played computer games and tried to watch a movie but I forgot to bring my earphone. The rest of it, Im just day dreaming and try to enjoy the scenery with unpleasant smell and warm temperature. I manage to go through it. Im just thinking to myself, if God were to send me into the mission field, this is the kind of traveling experience that I have to go through. Honestly, I wasn't that grumpy during the ride just feeling uncomfortable. I can still talk nicely to the drivers as if I dun really mind of the situation.

At this point of life, I would picture myself being in the incubator. As if God is teaching me lots of stuffs. I guess He's using the hammer to knock my head again saying, "Next time, pray more specifically", something like that metophorically and more of course. Plus there a few more things in life that I needed to be mould and smashed hard for me to be in the good shape for the Lord.

As the bus was entering the town. The familiar scene, the scene where you grow up with, you definitely know that it is home. On the way back home, you definitely see a few familiar faces. It's such a small tiny weeny town where everyone knows everyone. Ahh..... Sarikei. What more can I say, you are just like that and nothing else could have described more. hehe...

Im not sleeping in my own room tonight. Mama didnt have time to prepare my room but instead I have to sleep in Aaron's room. But nonetheless, I have my good ol' Garfield comforter. Home. Love being pampered at home..... hehe....

As I was reading my previous post, I blame it all to the hormones and mood swings. hehe.... Well, got myself quiet down after a few days posting it up and I began to think, has not God be so wonderful to me in this 20 over years? and why am I doubting Him? Sorry God! You given me everything I need, You provided enough, You given me hope, the You have given me the future. You show me love, You show me the way and You show me mercy. How marvelous, how wonderful You are Lord. Next time I'll get myself sit down and think over on how should I react in desperation moments and situations when I start thinking about the future again. Love you God!

Right now, I just finish doing my FYP. And guess what? Im in dilemma right now. I dunno which program to use to stimulate my design. First, HOMER(not the Simpsons) is easy to use and the information needed is sufficient enough to generate the results I want but this software is more related to cost optimization. But, my topic is modeling and simulation of hybrid PV and Microhydro system. If I were to use MATLAB, it will be extra hard cause i need to design all the details and they do not have microhydro blocks for simulation. And there's this another program TRYNSYS, they have all the component but no microhydro too plus I am not familiar with the program. Sigh! Need to read more research papers. What adds the stress is my parents, " Have you start writing your thesis?" How to write if I have not stimulate the system? "Do research lor, use google to search lor. Easy ma just click"... Arghh! I seriously snapped at them when they said that. It's rather stressful having them nagging you about your thesis than figuring out the solution for the simulation. Above all this, I still love them!! hehe.. very much.

This week, I have been spending time with the Lim's. =D. Pampered with all the good food. Talking about food, Celine and I went to the newly opened DeliFrance (after waited for months for it to officiate) and there were a few dishes not available and I don't get to try the Seafood platter. But I tried the mussels though. NICE! I love food...

Been watching a few movies lately....not ranked in any particular order.

Ok, not a few. That's a lot in one week. Im also catching up the old movies like Sleepless in Seattle and also classic movie like My Fair Lady. My favorite kind is The Ron Clark Story, definitely because Matthew Perry is in it and plus it is quite inspiring. But none of these can beat Shyamalan's story line, The Happening. Im also getting back to my roots and watch the Chinese movie, Contract Lover. Of all the character's name in the movie, I love the name Jediah, Jediah Walker in Hope. I guess I would like to name one of my son Jediah. Nice name.... Jediah...... hehe ^ ^. Feeling child-like as well, that's why I watch The Swan Princess, never knew the story line though but now I guess Im old enough to watch it. haha.. Not forgetting the cool dancing steps in Take the Lead. Hmm... that's a lot of movies I watched there some more which I could not remember. It's a movie marathon for me. hehehe.. I love movies.....

I guess im about to go CRAZY!

K, before the exam, i chose not to think about stuffs and concentrate on the papers...

Now, it seems that my mind start thinking again........arghhhHH!

Instead of crying myself to sleep last night..... I talked myself to sleep. having personality BATTLE.

I seriously don't know what I'm battling with. Hmm.. this reminds me of Ps. John's sermon last week, we as Christian, how are we suppose to react through the situations we face. I guess if u were to walk pass my room last night, you could here me talking to myself. If you ask me what was i thinking about, im telling you that it's a lot! It's so much that it became rojak and somehow the matters were related in one way or another.....

i was so care free with my exam, no stress at all. Then, after exam baru stress.

One semester gone. ONE more semester to go.........

After this wat?

Doulos?

Study again?

Work?

Where?

Work and study? Study what? degree in choreography? parents allow? got money? no work mana ada duit? Masters? Australia? Singapore? Amsterdam? US? Wanna be engineer?

What do I want? Let me tell you what I want. If i have no obligation or attachment or anything watsoever, this is what i really wanna do......

Take up choreography, join theater performances, traveling with the performers. e.g. Cats......and of course, my childhood dream.... DOULOS!!!

But this life of mine, I have offered to the ULTIMATE HIM. What does He wants? Does he wants me to do what I want? Still learning to listen to the still small voice of His.

And so, today is the last day of the handover. woke up as early as 6:30, but went back to sleep. Instead of a short nap, i dream. Dreaming about Miss Sia waking me up asking me to do the breakfast for the kids. I terus terbangun. So, i did what i was assigned (not by Miss Sia of course, by Robert), prepare breakfast in the morning. i guess that's the least i can do to show my gratitude to my fellow committees. :). We had milo, bread with strawberry jam and hard boiled egg.

Praise and worship, bible study, games.........

In the midst of it all,

1. I didn't bring enough clothes

2. I wet my shirt in the bath tub where by i suppose to wash my feet but the water came out from the shower. Thank God I still have Jacqueline's shirt with me

3. We are suppose to go to the mall for our games. Borrowed pants from Robert cause I only have my sleeping pants with me. Do you know that I have to wear it till up my waist??? felt very uncomfortable

I dun feel like myself. The things that I'm wearing doesn't belong to me and I felt very inadequate. Plus I have to wear that baggy pants in the mall. Arghhhhhhh......But enjoyed the game though. (Wont talk much about it) At the end we won!! yay! hehe.. and the last task, we are suppose to do something to Robert and after that they decided to throw him at the hotel swimming pool. Unfortunately, me and my big mouth saying, "Thank God my committee never treat me like this" So, they start grabbing me!!!!

I was struggling so much. Imagine all the guys carry u up. I felt so helpless. I said no. I really has no more clothes if you were to wet me. The more i struggle the more they try to grab me. I was looking at Joshua asking help but he seem cant do anything. I'm almost out of my breath. Imagine you fight with all your might asking help from your friend but he also can't do anything. I fall myself down to the floor trying to grab something on the floor, but they manage to carry me again. i felt like a cat scratching the floor just that I got no sharp nails to do so. I was screaming out loud " No!! Help!!".

Thank God Chuma was there, he said, if you wanna be save grab my hand. I was doubtful a bit. Will he be one of them too? But i did grab his hand. He saved my life!! haha... not tat dramatic. He saved me from getting wet and "clothless".

After all of this, I never thought that this ticks me a little. I was still shivering after that. Traumatized in a way. Felt inadequate, insufficient, helpless. Felt so weak. Cant do anything. I never like that kinda situation. Reminds me of 3 years back when The Tragedy happened. I felt like my spirit was going through the same thing. Just that today, i felt the physical side of helplessness. You are fighting, a fight that you will never win. A battle that you will surely loose.

I just dont know why somehow when that happened, it reminded me of my situation that I have to struggle spiritually. How am i going to analogize it im not sure. But I believe that it is through God's grace, i manage to win over the "battle" and be still and know that He is sovereign still. Having Chuma there, it's like having God's help.

Many at times I always think that there is always a way out when you are stuck and you can solve it with your own strength. But it just hit me today. I guess it effects me till my roots cause i had bad dreams during my nap in the afternoon. even when i was sleeping i still thought about the struggle. Tat's why i decided to wake up and join the barbecue at Grace's house.

Celebrating 22 Years of Life - Part 1

Few more days en counting and I am double twos and who knows when i'll be in the "deep sleep" state. ..;P. Lots of bits and pieces in my life that i cherish the most and some that i hope things could just never happen. Many that I have met, changed my life, moulded me, left me, befriended me, annoyed me, disliked me, loved me.

Let's start when i was still a young toddler.

As I can recalled what my parents told me, they actually ditched my for one month after having me and go for honeymoon in Australia. Guess who took care of me? hehehe... Ps. Leroy Ng... haha. that time he was still young and single and stayed at my house for six months while pastoring my home church for about a year. He had to go back to West Msia because he cant stay here long. In that period, I guess he's my first friend ever.

That's why he is such a familiar person to me. I never remember when did I know. As far as I can remember, he had always been visiting my church and as always he will bunk at my place. He taught me a lots of tricks that makes me laugh and wanna play with him. And each time when he leaves, he'll left his "fragrance" in the room. hehehe. That's his smell. :) Recognize it since young. hahhaha...miss it though. :P. He took most of my pictures when I was young and I am the only one having big picture in frames in the house. My others siblings dont... muahhahaa.. how I wish I can post it here. Maybe when I'm back home....:)

In kindy, I remember specifically I have the trouble writing the number "8". While waiting for my parents, i keep on practicing writing on the wall, with my fingers of course, no crayon or pencil used. I can still recall those in the same class as I do; Sylvia, Sophia, Angeline, Sim Ping, etc. And some of them being mean to me. They just leave me a small "territory" on the table for me to do stuffs. I still remember the table was in trapezoid and they just gave me one of the corner, 15% i guess. If I pass the line, they'll scold me... hahhaha... kids...

I won a running rally before and i got third place and they give us DUMEX. hahhaa. talking about DUMEX. I remembered that my mom likes to add in passion fruit syrup into our milk, which I dont like. And I thought that it was DUMEX taste. I remember insisted my mom not to buy DUMEX anymore and buy me Nespray, which I dont think I remember whether it tasted the same or not. Only in later years I found out my mom's recipe. so it's not DUMEX fault.

And yeah, Aaron was my first enemy that time. I remember him bitting me all over my body if i were to make him cry. There's this one time he bite my back till I bleed. And being the only son the family, i guess that he is quite spoiled.

haha guess what, I just found my first enemy and my first friend.... :P

When reality hits, it hits hard. it does gets me think that life is more than the things we are going through. LIFE, a mysterious discovery in which the human race is pursuing none-stop till the end. all of the sudden i found myself must start living like there's no tomorrow.

When reality hits, I should stop disillusioning and fantasizing the things i should have not. get up and smell the breeze in the air. life ain't that sweet. some truth hurts. but i thank God for the ULTIMATE TRUTH, the promise of the ONE. that He had promised us plans that prosper, gives hope and a future. it's not that im against the planning and dream of a good life with your future spouse, good job, good family, good friends around, just that, expect the unexpected.

When reality hits, u'll feel the raw-ness of life. you go through time and sometimes you wish that you can have the 25th hour for you to do your work. ironically each moments, when you need to make ur decisions within a split second, it effects the rest of your life. . a momentary decisions need a good timing, perfect plan.

When reality hits, it's not the same as ur planning. you plan this and that, but and the end God has the authority over it. im not saying that God had sabotage the freewill of men. but knowing that, this body it's no longer ours and has been paid with a price by God.

When reality hits, you just need to get on with life.

Just that all these years being a Christian and growing up being spoon fed, and i didnt find it out myself, it kinda blow my mind and cracked my mentality a bit when i find things differently and when ppl tell you about the stuffs that contradicts your believe but it is part of the TRUTH. Esp on church doctrines and stuffs. I have gone through all the basic doctrines when i was as young as 15. memorised and tested. now........ hmm... shaken...... the foundation is shifting and the pillar is shaking. Gotta enhance it more. Going back to the basic.

My Pastor Slapped Me!!!

hehe, don't need to be traumatized by the title, but it literally happened. Well, this is how it goes....

We were just 'lepaking' around at Pr. John's place after EYM Youth Leader's Meeting and were waiting for Serena to finish her recording for some songs. She's helping Aunty Tracy's colleague do play some tunes on her keyboard and Nick helped to record it. The songs were actually for the school drama thingy, i guess, and it sound kiddish ba.

So Nick burn the song into disc and asked Aunty Tracy to try whether it can played on the CD player. It works. But the thing is, you know la Pr. John, being crazy sometimes and dance also tidak tentu pasal. I guess ppl in EYM should know how Pr. John dance. Step, step out, step, step in, with his hands in "fist" position. Im there, standing, looking at him with a kind of eye. cuz it's just plain WEIRD........ and... and... and..... HE SLAPPED ME!!!...... both hands some more...... but it wasn't that painful la. it's just a soft slap but, still.... SLAP... both side of my cheek.....

But it was funny la, cause it never crossed my mind that he would actually reacted that way. hahhahaa.... FUNNY!!! and of course I hit him back. Normal reaction ba..... :P.(but of course not on his face)

New Printer: Fuji Xerox DocuPrint203A on Vista

yay! new printer... but i had difficulty to install it. especially when it comes to VISTA. for those of you out there who have hard time installing the printer, here is the step by step method u can use to install your printer driver. First and foremost, get the updated driver that is compatible to your operating system. as for my case, i need to look for FX DocuPrint 203A for Vista. the link is

Unzip it. Once I unzip it, i found out that there is neither application file nor setup file available for me to install the printer. felt stupid when Reuben showed me how. Thanks brother for letting me see how to set it up. Alright, to set it up the alternative way

1. Go to Control Panel/Hardware and Sound/Printer. Then add printer

2. Choose add local printer if it is for personal use

3. Then add printer and find the your printer model. if it is not in the list, browse to the file that you have downloaded earlier and look for a .inf file to be added to the printer's list. And you should also need to identify the USB port, where your printer is plugged in.

4. Once it's correct, select the printer and use the recommended option. You can name you printer. Just follow the following instruction and print the test page 5. Your Print Test should look like this
There are two types of print test. the first one is the print test from the printer itself, just to make sure that it is functioning well, and th second one is the above print test from the computer

The Mist

I should have walked out of the cinema just now watching this movie. Ok, even though of a good movie production, the effects is quite nice, quite interesting story line, cinematography not bad, but I walked out feeling depressed.

This is how human would actually act when they loose hope. And I thank God that He gives hope, gives life. But the fact that there's this one lady in the movie, so called wanna preach-God's word to the people because it is the end of the days, her teachings are all wrong. Disturbing.... see, this is why we should know the WORD and not follow a lunatic saying nonsense and claim themselves as God's vessels.

Not scary at all, little bit eeky and i guess im used to it ordy. Guess maybe im too tired to be scared... hehe...

K, this is the trailler. And I found out that the director of this movie directed Shawshank Redemption.... one of my favorite movie....

So, define it yourself whether it's a good movie or not... IM DEPRESSED!!! better watch something to take my mind of the depressing mode.

Lord, I just surrender it all to u. Help me not to worry too much. Honestly, initially, im not worried. im just worried that im not worried. Does 'not worry' means you don't care? it seems so to me. but then, how do I surrender it to God if I worry. Does that mean tat i dun care and i just let God took care of it? i shud work something out also.

Not to worry much. Im not experiencing it. For those out there who does not know the meaning of "premonition", it simply means,

Okay I dont wanna be geeky about it. I just finish the movie, Premonition, by Sandra Bullock and Julian McMahon.

Movie Type: Thriller

I just love triller movies. It has that element of scary, ugly, something bad is gonna happen, but it's a clean movie. To top that off, it actually brings you to love the character. You'll be so into it and hoping the same things as the character could have wished for. Sometimes, in movies, it encourage you to have that "flashback" moments. When you were thinking hard about something, somehow, u have that flashback images of the pass which is pretty much the same as u see in the movies. U may think it in a black and white images, colorful, ppl laughing, reminiscing childhood. etc.

Towards the end of the movie, you'll just like the way how things are done and closed. I wont spoil the thrill, the excitement and the anxiousness in this movie...So........

Watch it. and you'll love it. Just as how i love it and post it as soon as i finish watching it. It's 1:20 a.m. and im suppose to be sleeping right now.

Baking Cakes....... hmm.... Yummy?

Chinese New Year is just around the corner. Without baking cake, it doesn't feel like CNY. Has been doing this since I was young and helping mom up with the cake. This year, mom says she's lazy with tired with all the preparation. So we split it up. She do 2 cakes. I do another 2 or 3...This time I wanna try to bake cheese cake. The first time I bake a cake on my own is during EYM Pre-Christmas Dinner. It's a Banana Cake.

This year, wanna do something more sophisticated than that. i found a few videos on how-to-bake-cakes. Might just follow the recipe. hehehe.... will blog of the outcome
